Jersey Road parking restrictions extended near Paddington mobility space

Parking controls near 112 Jersey Road, Paddington, will change after Woollahra Council approved an extension of the existing 2P restriction to replace a redundant mobility-parking space.

The restriction, on the western side of Jersey Road, operates from 8am to 11pm, with permit holders excepted. Council said the replacement restrictions would improve parking opportunities in surrounding areas.

The change was part of a broader resolution covering redundant mobility-parking spaces across Woollahra municipality. The same resolution reinstates unrestricted parking on the southern side of Cambridge Avenue, near 14 Cambridge Avenue, Vaucluse.

No implementation date was specified for either parking change.

The Jersey Road resolution passed six votes to zero, with six councillors voting for it and none against.

In a separate transport matter, Woollahra Council rejected a proposed 3.2-metre Motor Bike Only restriction on the western side of Edgecliff Road near 420 Edgecliff Road, Woollahra. The proposal will not proceed, leaving the existing parking arrangements at that location unchanged.

Councillors also approved shared-path signage and line-marking changes on Wallis Street, Woollahra. An additional Shared Path sign will be installed east of Ocean Street. Existing “Bicycle Lane Continues Along Footpath” signs at the frontage of 98 Wallis Street and west of Woods Avenue will be replaced with Shared Path signs.

Additional Shared Path End signs will be installed east of Ocean Street and west of Woods Avenue, and Shared Path logos and line marking will be added on Wallis Street. The changes are intended to bring the facility into line with Australian Standards, Austroads Guides and the Transport for NSW Design Toolbox.

The transport matters were considered by Woollahra Municipal Council’s Finance, Community & Services Committee on 13 July 2026. A separate investigation into intersection improvements at Cranbrook Road and Victoria Road, Bellevue Hill, was deferred to the full Council meeting on 27 July 2026. Late correspondence will address whether increased student numbers at the school have triggered a development application.
