Topics

  • Panel approves dual occupancy at 1 Wilson Road, Terrigal
A new attached dual occupancy and demolition of existing structures has been approved in Terrigal.
The decision changes the development outlook for a specific residential site and may interest nearby residents and property owners.
  • Point Clare telecommunications facility approved with height-control variation
The Panel approved a telecommunications facility at 184 Brisbane Water Drive and varied the applicable building-height standard.
The facility and planning-control variation may affect the scale of development visible to nearby residents and improve local telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Point Frederick residential flat building proposal refused
An amended application for a residential flat building at 49 Masons Parade has been rejected.
The refusal prevents the proposed amended development from proceeding in its current form and follows public participation by an objector representative.

Decisions

  • Dual occupancy approved at 1 Wilson Road, Terrigal
Development Application DA/1562/2025 for demolition of existing structures and construction of an attached dual occupancy was approved subject to draft conditions.
The approval allows a new dual-occupancy development in Terrigal; nearby residents may be affected by construction and changes to the site.
  • Telecommunications facility approved at 184 Brisbane Water Drive, Point Clare
Development Application DA/1618/2025 for a telecommunications facility was approved subject to conditions. The Panel also agreed to vary the Central Coast Local Environmental Plan 2022 building-height standard under the relevant exception provisions.
The decision permits a new telecommunications facility and an approved variation to the applicable building-height control in Point Clare.
  • Residential flat building application refused at 49 Masons Parade, Point Frederick
The amended application DA/47050/2015/B for a residential flat building and demolition of existing structures was refused. The Panel found the proposal was not acceptable and was not substantially the same development as originally approved. Objectors and external referral bodies are to be notified.
The proposed amended residential development will not proceed in its current form, subject to any further planning or appeal action.
  • Shop-top housing approved at 191 Main Road, Toukley
The Panel approved an application for shop-top housing at 191 Main Road, Toukley, subject to conditions. The minutes identify the application as DA/1929/2024 in the item heading but as DA/1969/2024 in the decision text.
The approval allows redevelopment near the Toukley town centre and may affect local housing, construction activity and surrounding properties.
  • Planning proposal refused in Somersby
Planning Proposal RZ/111/2020 for 945 Old Pacific Highway and 66 Myoora Road, Somersby was refused unanimously, by a 3–0 vote.
The proposed planning change will not proceed on the basis considered by the Panel.
