Precinct 75 work zones approved for St Peters, with developer paying reinstatement costs

Construction work zones in Mary Street and Edith Street, St Peters, will be limited to loading and unloading for the Precinct 75 redevelopment, with P75 Investments Pty Ltd required to pay the fees, signage costs and reinstatement bill.

Inner West Council approved revised temporary line-marking and signage plans for the redevelopment after Genesis Traffic submitted a revised Construction Traffic Management Plan on behalf of P75 Investments. The plan covers temporary changes near the development frontage.

Any Works Zones must go through the council’s application process, with all applicable fees paid by the applicant. The zones can be used only to pick up and drop off materials and equipment.

Construction vehicles cannot wait or park in the Works Zones or in any Loading Zone. The restriction sets out how contractors can use the temporary areas while work is under way.

P75 Investments must also pay for the supply and installation of all associated parking signage under the council’s Fees and Charges. Affected surrounding residents must be notified before any on-street signage changes are installed.

Existing council signage and line marking in Mary Street and Edith Street must be reinstated when construction finishes. The work is to be completed at the applicant’s cost and to the satisfaction of Council’s Co-ordinator of Traffic and Parking Services, Traffic South.

Council officers said the revised plan involved minor amendments to arrangements previously approved for the site, mainly changes to temporary work zones near the development frontage. They said the changes would have only minor impacts on the earlier arrangements.

A separate application under the council’s Temporary Road Closure form and conditions is required if a temporary road closure is needed. The applicant and council rangers are to be advised of the approved arrangements.
