EasyPark ANZ wins contract to maintain City of Vincent parking machines

EasyPark ANZ Pty Ltd will supply and maintain the City of Vincent’s parking ticket machines after Council accepted the company’s tender for RFT IE571/2026. The contract covers equipment used at the City’s paid-parking facilities.

The decision was made as app payments accounted for 76 per cent of transactions in both kerbside and off-street parking locations during 2025/26. At kerbside machines, card payments made up 21 per cent of transactions and coins 3 per cent.

At off-street car parks, cards accounted for 22 per cent of payments and coins 2 per cent, with the EasyPark app again at 76 per cent.

Administration will finalise proposed departures from the City’s standard contract terms before the contract is completed. Those changes must not materially reduce the City’s contractual protections.

Councillors also asked about the effect of future machine changes on people who rely on physical equipment, including people with vision impairment. Administration said the proposed Strada S5 touchscreen machine had a screen twice the size of current models, with lighting, touchscreen access and instructions.

Rangers told Council that app users can stop a parking session or extend it for only the time they need, rather than estimating the duration at a ticket machine. Cr Alex Castle asked that the cost of app use be considered in future decisions about removing machines.

Administration is expected to provide Council with a report on the proposed timeline for a phased reduction of kerbside ticket machines. The accepted tender covers supply and maintenance, while no decision to remove existing machines was recorded.
