Shoalhaven City Council’s Local Transport Forum backed parking and traffic changes at five sites across the municipality at its 9 June 2026 meeting, with the recommendations later approved by the Director City Services under delegated authority.

In Ulladulla, the forum reviewed proposed signage for Camden St after Transport for NSW asked whether there was enough room for vehicles to manoeuvre into and out of the first parallel parking space. Council staff said adequate space had been provided. The recommendation was approved on 10 June 2026.

Bomaderry was next, where the forum supported a “No Stopping” signage plan for Cambewarra Road. Council staff told the meeting community feedback had been supportive. The forum also backed KEEP CLEAR linemarking for Cambewarra Road in Bomaderry and Kalandar Street in Nowra, with that recommendation approved under delegated authority.

At 16 Bannister Head Road, Mollymook Beach, the forum considered traffic management for development application DA2025/1657. It had no objection, provided temporary measures were put in place to mark the relocated bus stop and discourage parking in the designated area.

A post-meeting note recorded that the bus company operator later advised by email that it had no objection to the proposed bus stop relocation.

The forum also reviewed signage and linemarking for RW24/1198 on Lighthouse Road, Beecroft Peninsula. Transport for NSW supported the proposal, including pedestrian crossings and speed calming measures. Council staff explained that the 15-minute parking was intended to give drivers, particularly those with trailers or caravans, a short place to stop at the site entrance to check information or confirm access arrangements, rather than drive into and turn within the car park unnecessarily.

The forum’s discussion turned on practical issues at each site. On Camden St, the question was manoeuvring room for the first parallel parking space. In Bomaderry, staff said residents had responded positively to the no stopping proposal. At Mollymook Beach, the focus was on temporary control around the relocated bus stop.

All five proposals were carried through the forum and approved by the Director City Services on 10 June 2026.
