Randwick City Council has approved a round of local sponsorships and donations, including $3,052 for the Randwick TAFE Screen and Media 2026 film screening and awards night, according to minutes from its 28 April meeting.

The council resolution says the TAFE sponsorship will cover cinema hire, associated technical costs, and first, second and third prize awards for the student event.

Council also approved donations from March to April 2026 for several local groups. These included plants valued at $300 for Coogee Public School's Mother's Day stall, plants valued at $500 for Clovelly Childcare Centre's Annual Green Fair, and $1,750 for Randwick High School's annual show, 'London Calling', at NIDA.

A further $1,060 was approved for Botany Randwick Rotary Club's Dog Fun Day at Arthur Byrne Reserve in May, according to the resolution.

Council also waived $2,166.50 in Prince Henry Centre fees for Women’s Well, Eastern Suburbs, for what the minutes describe as a free community event regarding menopause.
