Inner West Council has endorsed its Christmas in the Inner West program for 2026, approving decorations across the area from mid-November next year and backing a package of festive initiatives aimed at residents and local businesses.

According to the 21 April 2026 council minutes, councillors approved procurement of new key Christmas decorations for Dulwich Hill Station Plaza, Leichhardt Town Hall, Annandale and Alex Trevallion Plaza.

The resolution also endorsed an Inner West Light Up Fest, reusable bunting for shop fronts on main streets, a festive grants program and community Christmas decoration workshops.

Council further backed more feasibility and delivery analysis on extra initiatives, with a briefing note due by August 2026.
