Burwood Council has approved 64 metres of parking changes on Beaumaris Street in Enfield, turning unrestricted spaces outside Enfield Public School into school-day short-stay parking for drop-off and pick-up periods.

The General Manager, under delegation, approved the change at the Burwood Local Transport Forum meeting on 27 February 2026. The restriction will apply from 8am to 9.30am and from 2.30pm to 4pm on school days only.

The minutes record the new wording as: “1/4P 8am-9:30am, 2:30pm-4pm School Days Only”.

Transport for NSW recommended a post-implementation parking review to test how the change works. Its comments say parking occupancy along Beaumaris Street is moderate, the proposed restrictions will affect parking availability, and vehicles are often parked beside the speed hump fronting 35 Beaumaris Street.

The forum also recorded a recommendation that Council consider parking restrictions near the speed hump at 35 Beaumaris Street to improve vehicle movements and safety after the new pick-up and drop-off zone is in place.
